Old airport lists and flight prices go out of date quickly. Use this page as a checklist, not a timetable: confirm the rules and documents first, then check live schedules with the airline operating your route.
Before you choose a flight
1. Check the travel category
Confirm that your activities fit an OFAC general or specific authorization and that you understand any recordkeeping requirements. Do not assume a tour operator can determine your eligibility for you.
2. Compare current routes
Look at the airline’s current booking calendar and the departure airport’s own flight information. Schedules, operating carriers, connections and baggage rules can change.
3. Confirm travel documents
Check CBP’s passport guidance, the airline’s document rules and current Cuban entry requirements with the relevant consular authorities.
4. Read current conditions
Review the State Department Cuba advisory before booking and again before departure.
Allow room for a change of plans
Keep copies of the documents and itinerary you rely on, and understand your airline’s change, cancellation and disruption policies. Conditions on the island and flight operations can shift; leave enough flexibility to respond.
